Several million atmospheric discharges detected in Slovenia are stored in the SCALAR system archive. The Flashfinder report presents data on lightning strikes within a selected time period and in the vicinity of a selected location.
The report is intended for users who need information on whether lightning strikes were detected near a selected location. It is mainly used for verifying damage events, analysing outages, fires, equipment damage, and other events where information about a possible lightning strike is important.
Who is the Flashfinder report intended for?
The Content of the Flashfinder report report is particularly useful for:
- insurance companies verifying damage claims caused by lightning strikes,
- owners of buildings and equipment,
- companies analysing equipment damage,
- infrastructure operators,
- expert services analysing weather-related events.
Content of the Flashfinder report
The report presents data on lightning strikes within the selected area and time period. The report includes:
- a map display of the selected location and search area,
- the positions of detected lightning strikes,
- the time of the lightning strike,
- the location of the lightning strike,
- the amplitude of the lightning strike.
Only cloud-to-ground atmospheric discharges are used to prepare the Flashfinder report.
Types of reports
If you need lightning strike data for a shorter time period, choose the Flashfinder report. It is intended for searches covering up to 3 consecutive days.
If you need data for a longer time period, for example during a longer holiday, absence, or an entire season, choose the Extended Flashfinder Report – 15 Days. This report includes an overview of thunderstorm activity for a period of 15 days, and for days when a thunderstorm with lightning was detected, an additional Flashfinder report is also prepared.
Flashfinder Report – 3 Days
The Flashfinder report is intended for searching lightning strike data over a shorter time period.
The report is prepared for:
- an area of 4.5 km around the selected location,
- a location defined by an address or GPS coordinates,
- a time period of up to 3 consecutive days.
The price of one Flashfinder report is 65 € + VAT.
If you need data for a longer time period of up to 15 days, several reports are prepared. For 15 days or more, we recommend choosing the extended report.
Extended Flashfinder Report – 15 Days
The Extended Flashfinder Report is intended for users who need an overview of atmospheric discharges over a longer time period, for example during a longer holiday, absence, or seasonal use of a property.
The report is prepared for:
- an area of 4.5 km around the selected location,
- a location defined by an address or GPS coordinates,
- a time period of up to 15 consecutive days.
The price of the extended report is 105 € + VAT.
If you need a report for a period longer than 15 days, multiple searches are prepared.

In the form, please provide:
- customer details,
- the selected type of report,
- the time period of the search,
- the search location or GPS coordinates,
- VAT ID, if the customer is a company.
You will receive the ordered report no later than three working days after payment has been received.
